Love Beets is a true labour of love from husband and wife team, Guy and Katherine Shropshire. The Shropshire family, known for growing salad vegetables in England, decided to purchase a small beet factory with the hopes of sharing a family favourite with others.
They knew they wanted to find a way to attract younger people to beets, so the family got to work experimenting with unique marinated beet recipes and beet juices. Today Love Beets products are available in the USA & Canada, South Africa, Dubai, Australia & New Zealand and in the UK and Europe.
In October 2010, Guy and Katherine brought their marinated baby beets to New York City’s Fancy Food Show, where the response was overwhelmingly positive. Virtually everyone who tasted their beets said they “love beets!”
Not only did the name stick, but Guy and Katherine moved to the United States, looking for opportunities to build their brand and spread the beet love. With the help of family, farmers, and major retailers, the Love Beets brand has blossomed and continues to expand its reach across the country!
We rely on the environment to produce our delicious beets and we understand that it’s our job to look after it. Thanks to our clever packaging, our beets stay fresher and tastier for longer meaning less waste. Unfortunately our current packaging is not widely recyclable and it’s been a challenge to find recyclable packaging good enough to meet the needs of our beets. However, thanks to our innovative packaging specialists, that’s all about to change. We’ve been working really hard to develop new packaging that’s just as good at keeping our tasty beets fresh as it is at being recycled. Currently the new packaging is undergoing vigorous tests and we’re working as hard and as fast as we can to get it ready by Autumn!
